Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Corentin Tolisso swap deal, Spurs target to leave on free

Tottenham Hotspur have had a positive restart to the Premier League season after Tuesday night’s 2-0 victory over West Ham United.

This followed a 1-1 draw at home to Manchester United, with Jose Mourinho hoping to secure a Champions League spot.

The lure of elite European football would undoubtedly attract the top players to Spurs, with Mourinho’s first summer in charge in north London.

The rumours are still flying around, as clubs prepare for an unusual summer window, and with that being said, here are the most interesting Spurs-related transfer rumours.

Jose Mourinho admits Steven Bergwijn wasn't first choice

Ndombele no longer wants to play under Mourinho

Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has informed Mourinho he no longer wishes to play under the Portuguese boss, according to Telefoot.

Ndombele is out-of-favour at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and has not featured at all since the Premier League’s resumption last week.

Mourinho played down suggestions that he had fallen out with the club’s record-signing after their victory over West Ham.

However, according to Telefoot, Ndombele has told the former Chelsea and Manchester United manager that he does not want to play for him again.

Potential swap deal for Ndombele

Tottenham have been handed the opportunity to swap Ndombele for his countryman Corentin Tolisso, according to ESPN.

The Bayern Munich midfielder, like Ndombele, is seemingly not part of his manager’s plans, playing just 13 times on the way to his team’s title-winning campaign.

ESPN are reporting how Ndombele wants to end his Spurs career as soon as possible, and Bayern is a possible destination.

Tolisso, who was part of the France squad that won the 2018 World Cup, signed for the German club in 2017 from Lyon.

Baggies confirm Spurs target will leave

West Bromwich Albion have confirmed defender Nathan Ferguson will leave the Hawthorns when his contract has expired.

Ferguson is a reported target for Spurs and the Baggies have revealed he will leave the club once his contract expires at the end of the month.

West Brom sporting director Luke Dowling told the club’s official website: “We have made what can only be considered a very attractive offer to Nathan but he intends to pursue his career elsewhere.

“It’s a disappointment for everyone here but it is the player’s prerogative.”
