Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Argentine 'arrives' for transfer talks, Bale 'enquiry'

There are now less than four weeks left in the transfer window - and Tottenham are expected to still be busy over the next month.

Spurs have already signed Jack Clarke from Leeds United and Tanguy Ndombele in a club record move from Lyon, but the Lilywhites continue to be linked with a number of other players as well.

As such, there could still be several incomings and outgoings over the next few weeks. Below, we take a look at the latest transfer rumours.

Toby Alderweireld

Toby Alderweireld is still somehow a Tottenham player following the expiration of the £25million release clause in his contract.

The centre-back has been linked with Roma and Manchester United this summer, but neither have opted to stump up the fee required to sign the 30-year-old.

Here we take a look at what could happen to the experienced defender over the coming months.

Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale is set to leave Real Madrid to join Chinese club Jiangsu Suning on a three-year deal.

The Welshman is set to put pen to paper on a £20million-a-year contract, but according to Spanish daily Marca , Tottenham enquired about his availability first.

Bale’s relationship with Zinedine Zidane had become increasingly fraught, and the Real manager had admitted that the forward could leave the Bernabeu.

"We hope he leaves soon,” he told reporters.

“It would be best for everyone. We are working on his transfer to a new team.

"I have nothing personal against him, but there comes a time where things are done because they must be done."

Giovani Lo Celso

According to Mucho Deporte, Giovani Lo Celso is expected to arrive in London over the coming days as Tottenham look to accelerate moves for him and Paulo Dybala.

Having already sealed moves for Jack Clarke and Tanguy Ndombele, Mauricio Pochettino's men have been linked with others, namely the Real Betis attacking midfielder.
