Latest Tottenham transfer news: Man United wonderkid to sign, Inter 'pull out' of Eriksen deal

The January transfer window is open for business with the expectation among Tottenham fans that their club needs to be active this month.

Especially given the news that Harry Kane is out with a torn hamstring, a versatile forward could become Spurs' new priority in the January transfer window.

With issues at the back too, Jose Mourinho will be hoping to see some fresh faces come through the door in the coming weeks.

Here is a round-up of the day's latest Tottenham transfers news.

Inter could 'pull out' of Eriksen deal

Inter Milan could reportedly pull out of a proposed move for Christian Eriksen in the January transfer window.

The Italian side are said to be considering an offer to Spurs to bring the midfielder to Serie A this season, despite him being available on a free transfer in the summer.

However, Corriere della Sera (via Sport Witness ) state that Inter may have to pull out of a proposed transfer due to financial constraints.

Antonio Conte is said to want an experienced midfielder to come in before the end of the season, with Arturo Vidal also under consideration.

And the manager is said to have told the club hierarchy that he would prefer Vidal over Eriksen if they cannot get both deals done.

Winks eyed by Manchester United

Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks has reportedly emerged as a possible transfer target for both Manchester clubs.

Winks has completed 90 minutes just twice under Jose Mourinho, seemingly falling down the pecking order after being a regular under Mauricio Pochettino.

The midfielder was handed a start in the FA Cup against Middlesbrough on Sunday but was again withdrawn before the hour mark after suffering an ankle injury in the first half.

His lack of playing time has reportedly alerted both United and City, who could make moves before the end of the month.

And according to The Athletic , Winks has been discussed by senior figures at Old Trafford.

Nkwonta set to join Spurs

Junior Nkwonta has agreed to train with Tottenham Hotspur with a view to a potential deal this month.

Allnigeriasoccer.com is exclusively reporting that the Nigerian starlet is preparing to bid farewell to Manchester United and link up with Spurs.

Nkwonta is described as a mobile centre-back who is very strong on the ball and technically very good.
