Latest Tottenham transfer news: Arsenal star linked with shock transfer, Zeki Celic latest

Tottenham Hotspur endured a tough 2019/20 season and movement in the transfer window is expected ahead of next term.

This has led to transfer speculation aplenty as Jose Mourinho continues to plan ahead and target key individuals to improve the club's fortunes.

The rumour mill is starting to heat up as a result and here is the latest round-up of gossip on Tottenham.

Spurs chase Arsenal youngster

Tottenham have registered their interest in Arsenal's Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

The Gunners are expected to consider offloading the young gun this summer.

Maitland-Niles is eager to stay put but Tottenham have nonetheless made their move, according to The Sun.

Tottenham hand Leeds United boost

Tottenham are hoping to free up some funds as they look to sign Lille defender Zeki Celik, and Leeds could play a big part in their efforts.

According to the Telegraph, Spurs are looking to offload Serge Aurier or Juan Foyth as they look to raise some cash to land Celik.

Foyth has been heavily linked with a move to Elland Road this summer, and could, therefore, Leeds could play a part in Spurs' transfer activity.

The Argentine is thought to be keen on teaming up with Marcelo Bielsa.

Aurier transfer claim

Tottenham have been tipped to sell Serge Aurier after Mirror Football reported that the club were looking to offload the defender.

Spurs want upwards of £35 million for Aurier but pundit Noel Whelan doesn't feel that Jose Mourinho's men will land the price they want.

Speaking to Football Insider, Whelan said: It’s a lot of money for a player that’s not really hit the heights. I think they’re grasping at straws with that, Tottenham. It’s certainly not going to be for £35million. I think it's going to be more around £20-22 million."
