Latest Tottenham transfer news and rumours: Spurs eye Marcelo Brozovic, Leeds United star linked

The summer transfer window is now closed, but Tottenham Hotspur can once again dive into the market in two and a half months.

Spurs endured an extremely busy summer period and they can do it all again when the January transfer window opens.

Despite an influx of new players, Jose Mourinho’s side are still keen on building on their progress, with some players linked with a move away as well.

Here are the latest Tottenham transfer rumours.

Spurs interested in Brozovic

Tottenham are keen admirers of Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic and could make a move in the near future, according to Calciomercato .

Spurs complete Joe Rodon transfer

The Italian news outlet is reporting that Inter are open to offers for Brozovic after Antonio Conte decided he was “no longer indispensable”.

The Croatian midfielder was linked with a move to Spurs over the summer, with talk of a potential swap deal with Tanguy Ndombele going the other way.

However, nothing materialised and Spurs may have to revisit the situation in January - but will face competition for the 27-year-old from Monaco.

Whelan warns Clarke about being sold

Noel Whelan believes Jack Clarke could be sold by Tottenham in January if he fails to prove himself before then.

Spurs wouldn’t let the 19-year-old leave on loan despite plenty of Championship interest in the teenager, according to Football Insider.

Now, speaking to the same publication , Whelan has given his thoughts on Clarke ’s future: “They’re going to watch him, they’re going to see his attitude, they’re going to see how he performs in training, in Under-23s games - has he got the ability to step up to the Premier League?

“This is something they’ll be assessing because he’ll be on decent money at Tottenham. If he’s not, you can see him going out on loan in January and maybe for a permanent move.”

Phillips wanted by Spurs

Tottenham and Liverpool are both interested in signing Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips, according to The Sun (via Metro).

The 24-year-old has started this season in fine form for the Whites - which resulted in him making his first appearances for England.

Spurs and the Reds have both become very impressed by Phillips’ form, and will ‘monitor him’ for the rest of the season before potentially making a move next summer.

The report states that the Leeds-born midfielder would likely cost in the region of £50m.
