Latest Tottenham rumours: AC Milan's Aurier talks, Brooks competition, Walker-Peters battle

The transfer rumour mill is now at full tilt with the summer transfer window already open for a week.

The short turnaround between next season and last means clubs are having to work at an even more frantic pace to get deals done ahead of next season.

And Tottenham are no different, already being linked with a number of moves as Jose Mourinho attempts to take the club back towards the top four.

Below we have all the latest gossip and rumours surrounding the club.

Leeds to enter Brooks race

Leeds United could rival Spurs for Bournemouth winger David Brooks.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for the Welsh star, who is expected to leave Bournemouth following their relegation to the Championship.

But according to Bleacher Report, Leeds could muscle in as they look to strengthen ahead of their first season back in the Premier League.

Brooks enjoyed an excellent first season with Bournemouth following his 2018 move from Sheffield United but struggled with injury last term.

Milan step up Aurier bid

AC Milan have stepped up their bid to land Spurs defender Serge Aurier.

That's according to Italian football expert Fabrizio Romano, who says the Serie A club have made a move for the defender for the second season running, already beginning talks.

Aurier has admitted he asked to leave Spurs last season when Milan were interested but has since knuckled down after the move did not come about.

Fast-forward a year and Milan are once again said to be interested, and this time their bid could prove successful with Aurier not enjoying the best of seasons, albeit he did have a very difficult end to the season off the pitch following the passing of his brother.

Walker-Peters battle

Spurs defender Kyle Walker-Peters looks likely to complete a permanent move to Southampton after a successful loan move with the club.

But there could yet be one final twist.

According to the Daily Mirror, West Ham could hijack Walker-Peters' move to St Mary's Stadium.

David Moyes is said to be a big fan of the Spurs academy product and would like to beat Southampton to his signature if he can muster up the finances from the Hammers' owners.
