Latest supercomputer prediction that Nottingham Forest fans will love and Derby fans will hate

Nottingham Forest are firmly in the promotion picture at this early stage of the season.

The Reds find themselves fifth in the Sky Bet Championship table, five points off top spot with a game in hand.

Leaders West Bromwich Albion are just six points ahead of seventh-placed Sheffield Wednesday, with the play-off and automatic promotion picture shifting every week after the latest batch of matches.

Meanwhile, the bottom of the table has managerless Stoke City struggling to find their footing, while Middlesbrough and Huddersfield Town are among the heavy-hitters floundering at the wrong end of the standings.

With things being extremely tight, it is difficult to predict the final outcomes but that is exactly what talkSPORT has done with their latest supercomputer - which issues the final verdict for all 24 clubs.

It’s good news for Leeds United and West Brom, both of whom earn promotion to the Premier League, leaving Fulham, Swansea City, Preston and Forest battling it out in the play-offs.

Forest earning a play-off spot is a double blow for rivals Derby County, who have endured a tough start under Phillip Cocu, and are predicted to finish 13th.

At the other end of the table, Huddersfield, Middlesbrough and Stoke are all predicted to escape the threat of relegation, with Luton Town, Reading and Barnsley all suffering a drop to the third-tier of English football.
