Spain is one of the countries tightening up entry rules because of the Omicron variant - but that doesn't mean Spain holidays are necessarily off the cards for UK travellers.
The country changed its travel rules for Brits from December 1, meaning that anyone arriving into Spain, the Canary Islands or Balearic Islands will now need to be fully vaccinated against Covid.
This means having received both doses of an approved vaccine at least 14 days before travel - and you'll need a vaccine certificate to show as proof. (Children under 12 years old are exempt when travelling with an adult).
Passengers will also need to fill out a pre-travel form and obtain a QR code to show at border control.
The news came as a huge blow for families who have holidays booked, especially with children aged 12-17 who may be unvaccinated and therefore won't be able to visit under the new rules.
Previously this had not been an issue because unvaccinated Brits had been able to visit provided they had a negative Covid test result.
Spain is a popular destination for winter sun holidays too, especially the Canary Islands which enjoy year-round sunshine and balmy weather.

Since the news, easyJet has announced that it would offer refunds for families affected by the change and due to travel in December.

It's not just Spain's new rules that affect holidaymakers. The UK has brought in new travel rules for arrivals from countries which aren't on the red list, in a bid to curb the spread of the Omicron coronavirus variant.
From 4am on Tuesday (December 7), anyone travelling to the UK from these destinations will need to show proof of a negative PCR or lateral flow (LFD) pre-departure test, taken no earlier than 48 hours before departure.
This applies to anyone aged 12 or above, for both vaccinated and unvaccinated travellers.
Once back in the UK, rules depend on your vaccination status.
If you're vaccinated, you'll need to self-isolate for two days and take a PCR test on day two, where a negative result will release you from isolation.
If you're unvaccinated, you'll need to self-isolate for 10 days in the UK and take PCR tests on days two and eight.
The majority of countries - including Spain - are currently on the 'rest of the world list' aka not on the red list.
For those returning from a red list country, the rules remain the same including being required to stay in a quarantine hotel for 10 days, with two PCR tests on days two and eight.
