The MEN revealed on Monday evening that United have agreed a final fee of just under €50million for Varane.
All that remains is for Varane to undergo a medical and sign the paperwork, which means it now seems certain that the French defender will be play alongside Harry Maguire at the heart of United's defence at Old Trafford next season.
Their potential partnership is a thought to savour and United supporters have taken to social media to express their happiness at the latest breakthrough, which should see Varane join the Reds' latest recruit Jadon Sancho very soon at Carrington.
