A further 139 cases of coronavirus have been announced in Scotland within the last 24 hours.
Latest data published this afternoon by the Scottish Government shows that no Covid deaths have been reported over the same time period.
In terms of Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, Moray has the highest rate in the country by some distance — at 78.3 as of Monday, May 3.
East Dunbartonshire has the second highest rate of 42.3 while East Ayrshire is third with 36.9.
Currently, 21 of Scotland's 32 council regions have an infection rate below the national average of 21.3
This includes South Ayrshire (13.3) and North Ayrshire (14.8).
The encouraging figures comes as the NHS Ayrshire and Arran Health Board region recorded a further 18 cases of the disease in the last 24 hours.

There are currently 58 Covid patients in Scottish hospitals with fewer than five in Ayrshire.
Figures show 11 people are receiving treatment for the disease in intensive care, again, with fewer than five in Ayrshire.
The vaccination programme continues to progress with 2,833,761 people now had the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 1,348,050 received their second dose
