There has been a small rise in the number of people being treated for Covid in Scottish hospitals as 974 new cases of the illness were confirmed today.
Figures have been published this afternoon by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland as part of the national COVID-19 daily briefing.
Nationally, 137 people are in hospital which is up nine from yesterday. There are currently 17 people with the disease being treated in ICU.
A total of 248,515 positive tests have now been recorded from 2.118 million tests carried out since the start of the pandemic.
According to Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, Dundee City has the highest infection rate in the country – at 298.0 as of Monday, June 14.
The second-highest is South Ayrshire which has a rate of 241.5 while City of Edinburgh (195.5) has the third-highest rate.
Elsewhere locally, East Ayrshire's infection rate stands at 142.6 with North Ayrshire's at 130.6.
Currently, 17 of Scotland's 32 council regions have an infection rate below the national average of 116.1.

Two more deaths have been announced in the last 24 hours which means 7,683 people have passed away since March 2020.
However, data from the National Records of Scotland (NRS) shows 10,130 deaths had been registered up to Sunday, June 6 where the disease was mentioned on the death certificate.
Across the UK, the figure is 127,907 as of last night.
The number of newly-reported positive coronavirus cases recorded by NHS Ayrshire & Arran has risen sharply by 91 to 18,781.
Of the new cases, 37 were from South Ayrshire and 33 were attributed to East Ayrshire. There were 20 new cases in North Ayrshire.
Zero new cases were recorded in Na h-Eileanan Siar, Orkney Islands and Shetland Islands.
There are 20 patients being treated for the disease in Ayrshire hospitals, which is up one from yesterday, and fewer than five in ICUs.
IT issues have impacted on vaccine data but it is estimated that a total of 3,531,461 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 2,470,181 have received their second dose.
