Another 1,825 Covid cases have been confirmed in Scotland as 22 further deaths overnight were announced.
Data has been published by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland this afternoon as part of the national Covid-19 daily briefing.
Nationally, there are 488 patients being treated in hospital which is down 41 from yesterday. There are currently 58 people with the disease being treated in ICU.
The number of newly-reported positive coronavirus cases recorded by NHS Ayrshire & Arran has increased by 122 to 23,474.
Of the new cases, 44 were from North Ayrshire and 39 were attributed to East Ayrshire. There were 36 new cases in South Ayrshire.
A total of 335,966 positive tests have now been recorded from 2.413 million tests carried out since the start of the pandemic.
According to Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, Midlothian has the highest infection rate in the country – at 382.2 as of Wednesday, July 21.
The second-highest is Dundee City which has a rate of 319.2 while City of Edinburgh (297.0) has the third-highest rate.
Locally, South Ayrshire's infection rate stands at 195.3 with East Ayrshire at 176.8. North Ayrshire's is 131.8.
Currently, 21 of Scotland's 32 council regions have an infection rate below the national average of 242.5.

The 22 further deaths in the last 24 hours which means 7,842 people have passed away since March 2020.
However, data from the National Records of Scotland (NRS) shows 10,268 deaths had been registered up to Sunday, July 18 where the disease was mentioned on the death certificate.
Across the UK, the figure is 128,896 as of last night.
There are 20 patients being treated for the disease in Ayrshire hospitals, which is a reduction of one from yesterday, and fewer than five in ICUs.
Nationally, a total of 3,989,927 people have received the first dose of a Covid vaccine and 3,028,271 have received their second dose.
