A further 1,567 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Scotland in the last 24 hours — including 95 in Ayrshire.
Figures published by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland today show there remain 337 Covid patients in Scottish hospitals - down 16 since Friday.
There are 39 people battling the virus in ICUs across the nation — a reduction of two over the same period.
No new fatalities have been announced meaning Scotland's Covid death toll remains at 8,032.
However, 10,421 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to August 8.

In terms of Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, North Ayrshire has the highest rate in the country — at 265.9 as of Sunday, August 15.
East Lothian has the second-highest infection rate at 254.9 while Dumfries and Galloway is third with 251.5.
Of Ayrshire's remaining two local authorities, East Ayrshire's rate is 176.0 and South Ayrshire's is 145.4.
Of the 94 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Ayrshire in the last 24 hours, 37 were in East Ayrshire, 31 in North Ayrshire and 26 in South Ayrshire.

There are 20 Covid patients in Ayrshire hospitals – up one from yesterday – while fewer than five people are battling the disease in intensive care in the region.
A total of 4,058,482 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 3,467,817 have received a second dose.
