A further 851 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Scotland the last 24 hours as the country moves beyond Level 0 restrictions.
Figures published by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland today show there are 356 Covid patients in Scottish hospitals and 42 people battling the virus in ICUs across the nation.
No new deaths from the virus were reported which means Scotland's Covid death toll remains at 7,992.
However, 10,370 deaths have been registered in Scotland where COVID-19 was mentioned on the death certificate up to August 1.
In terms of Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, North Lanarkshire has the highest rate in the country — at 214.6 as of Sunday, August 8.
South Lanarkshire has the second-highest infection rate at 212.0 while North Ayrshire is third with 209.3.
Of Ayrshire's remaining two local authorities, South Ayrshire's rate is 129.3 and East Ayrshire's is 146.4.
Of the new cases reported in the region in the last 24 hours, 27 were in North Ayrshire, 14 in South Ayrshire and 13 in East Ayrshire.

There are 14 Covid patients in Ayrshire hospitals – down one from yesterday – while fewer than five people are battling the disease in intensive care in the region.
A total of 4,026,827 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 3,342,056 have received a second dose.
Most coronavirus restrictions have been removed in Scotland after the country moved beyond Level O at midnight.
Legal requirements for physical distancing - except in healthcare settings - and gatherings have been removed and all venues, including nightclubs, are now able to reopen.
Some measures, such as the requirement to wear face coverings indoors in public places and on public transport, will stay in place.
