A record 3,887 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Scotland – including 194 in Ayrshire.
Figures published by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland today show 235 people are currently being treated for the virus in the nation's hospitals – an increase of 20 from yesterday.
There are 19 people with the disease being treated in ICUs across the nation which is a reduction of one over the last 24 hours.
Three new deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours meaning Scotland's death toll from the virus now stands at 7,716.
In terms of Public Health Scotland's rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, Dundee City has the highest rate in the country — at 764.1 as of Tuesday, June 29.
Midlothian has the second-highest infection rate at 658.7 while East Lothian is third with 553.7.
Of Ayrshire's three local authorities, East Ayrshire has the highest rate of 437.7 compared to North Ayrshire's rate of 248.6 and South Ayrshire's 239.8.
Of those new Ayrshire cases, 109 were in East Ayrshire, 43 in South Ayrshire and 42 in South Ayrshire.

There are 14 Covid patients in Ayrshire hospitals – up two from yesterday – while fewer than five people are battling the disease in intensive care in the region.
A total of 3,799,467 people have received the first dose of a Covid vaccine and 2,712,237 have received their second dose.
