Latest Public Health England data for coronavirus infections across Nottinghamshire

Public Health England figures have shown the total amount of people across the county who have tested positive for coronavirus.

As of Monday, May 11, there are now 569 confirmed cases in the city boundary and 1,224 across the wider county.

It comes after Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH), which runs Queen's Medical Centre and Nottingham City Hospital, confirmed two more coronavirus patients have died.

Medical director Dr Keith Girling said the patients were aged 86 and 97 and that they died on May 9.

He said: “Sadly we can confirm that a further two patients have died having tested positive for Covid-19.

"Regrettably that means that 240 Covid-19 positive patients we were caring for have sadly died since the beginning of March.

“The families have been informed and our thoughts and condolences are with them at this difficult and distressing time."

The latest Public Health England data shows the total amount of confirmed cases, across the UK, stands at 223,060.

And, nationally, 32,065 people have died as a result of the virus.

The Government has now published its complete 50-page guide to getting out of lockdown, filling in the details on the speech made by Boris Johnson on Sunday (May 10).
