Latest product recalls from Asda, Morrisons, Tesco and Lidl including salmonella fears

Another week means another host of product recalls to warn Bristol shoppers about.

This time, goods from Asda , Morrisons, Lidl and Tesco have all been affected.

Recalls have been issued via the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

They include foodstuffs which could have ingredients not mentioned on the label - and even cereal bars which could contain salmonella.

So get checking those cupboards and if you find any of the products below, return them to store for a full refund.

Here is the list of affected goods, as reported by Birmingham Live.

Asda

 

Asda is recalling two cereal bars as a precaution as they may contain salmonella.

The affected Peanut and Almond Cereal Bars and Cranberry and Nut Cereal Bars both come in packs of four and have a best before date of September 2019.

Go ahead! Nutty Crunch Hazelnut bars

United Biscuits is recalling go ahead! Nutty Crunch Hazelnut (six bars) because some packs may contain peanuts, which are not mentioned as an ingredient on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts.

No other United Biscuits products are known to be affected.

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to peanuts, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Asda Dauphinoise Potatoes

Asda is recalling Dauphinoise Potatoes because some packs may include cauliflower cheese, which contain wheat (gluten) that is not mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten.

Morrisons Free From Choc Chip Cookies

Morrisons recalls Free From Choc Chip Cookies because they contain milk which is not mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Morrisons recalls TA-DAH! Cake because of incorrect labelling.

The packaging incorrectly states the toy wand is not suitable for children under two years when this should be three years.

The toy wand may present a choking hazard and a safety risk to small children.

No other Morrisons products are known to be affected.

Lidl HealthyCo Proteinella Smooth Hazelnut and Cocoa Spread

Lidl is recalling HealthyCo Proteinella Smooth Hazelnut and Cocoa Spread because it contains hazelnuts, almonds and milk which are not written in English on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to nuts and/or an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to nuts and/or an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, do not eat it. Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

Tesco

Cereal bars have also sparked salmonella fears at Tesco.

The supermarket is taking precautionary measures by recalling its four-pack of Apricot, Almond and Yoghurt Bars because they could contain the bug.

The affected products have the batch codes 9100 and 9101, and have a best before date of January 31, 2020.
