The 2020/21 Premier League campaign exploded into life last weekend with no shortage of goals, drama and unexpected results.
Despite a shortened pre-season, clubs did not fail to serve up entertainment, with Liverpool’s 4-3 victory over Leeds United proving to be the jewel in the crown.
There was also no shortage of debuts for new summer signings, as managers up and down the league caught their first glimpses of their new recruits in competitive action.
And with just under three weeks of the summer transfer window remaining, managers will still be hoping to bolster their squads before the window closes.

Bale on the brink of sealing Tottenham return
Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale is very, very close to sealing a highly anticipated return to Tottenham Hotspur.
More than seven years after leaving London for Madrid, the Wales international is now poised to seal a shock return to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, joining the club on a season-long loan deal.
According to BBC Sport, Bale, who has fallen out-of-favour in the Spanish capital, will fly to England on Friday before putting the finishing touches to his move.
It is reported that Bale trained alone at Madrid’s training ground on Thursday whilst he waited for Madrid and Spurs to reach a final agreement.
City eye Atletico Madrid star
Manchester City are ready to launch a bid for Atletico Madrid and Uruguay central-defender Jose Gimenez, a report by The Guardian claims.
Despite adding AFC Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake to their ranks earlier in the window, City manager Pep Guardiola remains keen to add another centre-back to his ranks.
The Etihad Stadium club have been heavily linked with signing Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli but are now ready to make a move for Gimenez.
That is because Napoli are not budging on their valuation of Koulibaly and are reluctant to sell him.
Leicester close in on Under deal
Leicester City are edging closer to completing the signing of Roma winger Cengiz Under, a report by The Telegraph states.
Brendan Rodgers, the Foxes boss, is keen to strengthen his attacking options before the window closes and it appears as though Under could be the latest addition.
The Turkey international is poised to arrive in England within the next 48 hours and undergo a medical before putting the finishing touches to a move.
Under is poised to initially join the Foxes on loan with a view to the deal becoming permanent next summer.
Rose set for Spurs exit
England defender Danny Rose is poised to leave Tottenham and seal a move to Italian outfit Genoa.
The former Leeds United man has fallen down the pecking order in north London after being sent out on loan to Newcastle United last term.
He currently finds himself behind Ben Davies in the battle for the left-back berth, and with Sergio Reguilon close to finalising a switch to North London Rose’s chances of playing would be incredibly slim.
And according to the Mirror, Genoa are in talks with Spurs about signing the left-back on a permanent basis.
