Latest Premier League transfer rumours: Solskjaer and Man United clash over Dan James

Here's your round-up of all the latest Premier League rumours for Friday, October 2.

Solskjaer clashes with Man United board over James sale

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly ready to sell Daniel James to fund a late move for Jadon Sancho.

However, according to ESPN , the United boss is yet to convince the club's hierarchy over the move, which could see James leave for around £25m.

Leeds United are keen admirers of James and reports suggest they are likely to make a big money bid before the Monday's deadline, having already had an approach to take the player on loan.

Brewster closing in on Sheffield United switch

Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster is on the verge of completing a £23.5m move to Sheffield United.

The former Swansea City loanee has seen his future become the subject of intense speculation in recent weeks, but the Blades have now seemingly won the race for his signature.

According to Sky Sports, Liverpool will retain a 15 per cent sell-on clause for the striker, along with a buyback clause that will be valid for the next three years.

West Ham pushing ahead with move for Chelsea starlet

West Ham United are ready to push ahead with a loan move for Chelsea's Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The Daily Mail claims the Hammers face competition from Fulham and Southampton for the midfielder, who Frank Lampard has already confirmed is likely to depart on loan.

The player's wages have reportedly proved problematic to some suitors, but reports suggest they have not put the Hammers off from making a move.

Arteta gives Saliba update

Mikel Arteta has not ruled out the possibility of William Saliba leaving Arsenal on loan before the close of the window.

The 19-year old defender is yet to feature for the Gunners this season, and a possible loan to France has already been mooted, with Rennes mentioned as a potential destination.

"As I explained, the difficult year the player had and the plan we had for him for the transition year, we could not achieve," Arteta said when asked about the player this week.

"We are looking at different options to try to have the best possible development and to protect our intentions with William for the future."
