Latest Premier League transfer rumours: Everton 'agree' Rodriguez terms, Chelsea start Donnarumma talks

The start of the new Premier League season is just a matter of weeks away, and there’s plenty of business to be done before the big kick-off.

The 2020/21 campaign is set to get underway on September 12, just over a month after the previous season concluded.

With the transfer window open, clubs have already been dipping into the market, and there plenty of big deals still in the offing.

Here are the latest transfer rumours and gossip coming from the Premier League.

Premier League new season in numbers

Everton 'agree' Rodriguez terms

Everton have agreed terms with Columbian forward James Rodriguez, according to latest reports.

The Blues are interested in signing the Colombia international, the ECHO understands, but it's yet to be seen if they will have the finances available to conclude such a deal.

However, according to journalist Tancredi Palmeri, the main obstacle is still the price requested by Real Madrid, that demands € 25m, with Everton wanting to cut the fee.

Donnarumma talks commence

Chelsea are in talks over a £50m deal to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

That's according to Football Insider, who say the Blues are keen to add a new goalkeeper ahead of the new season.

It's become rather public knowledge that Lampard has not been impressed with Kepa Arrizabalaga, and reports now claim he is already in the market to replace the Spaniard.

The report claims Chelsea have held talks with Milan who want £50m for their keeper.

Arsenal linked with Athletic Club star

The Gunners have been linked with a move for Athletic Club defender Unai Nez.

According to AS, Arsenal are among a number of clubs including Wolves, AC Milan and Monaco who have cast their eye on the centre-back.

And it has now been revealed that the 23-year-old has a release clause of €30m (£26.7m).

That could make him a steal for Arsenal, but it's unclear whether it's an either-or situation amid the expected arrival of Gabrial Magalhaes.
