Latest Premier League rumours: Werner's release clause deadline, Arsenal eye Feyenoord ace

Football is finally back on the horizon with the Premier League set to restart on June 17.

But the rumour mill has churned on in its absence, with plenty of rumours doing the rounds heading into the summer.

While there has also been talk of an extended window in order to give clubs the chance to do their business.

The most expensive Premier League transfers ever

And with all that in mind, below are the latest rumours from the Premier League.

Feyenoord star targeted by Arsenal

Arsenal are expected to make an offer for Feyenoord youngster Orkun Kokcu, according to Dutch outlet Voetbal International .

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder has established himself as a regular starter in the Dutch side this season and has made 35 appearances in all competitions.

Voetbal claims Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta is a long-term admirer of Kokcu, who represented Holland up to under-19 level before switching his international allegiance to Turkey, for whom he has played for the under-21s.

He has also been linked with a move to Spanish side Sevilla, but it would cost around £23million to prise him away from the Dutch club.

Werner clause

Liverpool and Chelsea have 12 days to trigger Timo Werner's €52m (£49m) release clause at RB Leipzig.

The German has been prolific this season and has been linked with a move away from the Bundesliga outfit.

The Mirror claim the forward’s release clause of £49m expires on June 15 though and will make securing a deal more difficult if it is not triggered.

Everton lead race to sign Barca man

Everton are the frontrunners in the race to sign Barcelona youngster Jean-Clair Todibo this summer.

According to Marca , Barca are keen to shift the defender who spent this season on loan at Schalke.

And with Everton set to be looking for defensive reinforcements this summer, Carlo Ancelotti is said to be interested in the 20-year-old.

Todibo has a market value of €25m, a huge mark-up from the €1m he arrived at Barcelona for last summer, and Schalke have decided not to sign the defender despite an impressive season.

Longstaff offered Udinese contract

Udinese have offered Matty Longstaff a lucrative deal in order to bring the promising youngster to Serie A this summer, according to Sky Sports.

Longstaff’s contract at Newcastle is set to expire this summer and the midfielder recently turned down the Magpies’ offer of a renewed £15,000 per week deal.

The report suggests Udinese are happy to double Newcastle’s offer, along with a big signing-on bonus.

It is thought Longstaff was desperate to stay with his boyhood club, but a big offer from Italy on the table may prove too tempting.
