Latest Premier League rumours: Liverpool want Dembele, Arteta's plan, £90m Koulibaly deal

Here are the biggest transfer rumours surrounding Premier League clubs for Monday, June 15.

Arteta hopes to persuade Aubameyang to stay with Gunners

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta still hopes to persuade talismanic striker and captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to stay at the Emirates Stadium.

The Evening Standard reports that Arteta has not given up on keeping the Gabon international at the club and views him as having a key role in the Spaniard’s rebuild of the club.

Aubameyang, 30, is approaching the final year of his current contract and, though has held talks about a new deal at the North London club, is yet to pen new terms.

The most expensive Premier League transfers ever

It is reported that the striker is considering his options and there is interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona, as well as Serie A side Inter Milan.

Aubameyang joined the Gunners in January 2018 from Borussia Dortmund for a reported £56m – a then club record fee - and has scored 61 goals in 97 games for Arsenal so far.

He is second top scorer in the Premier League this season, after Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy.

Reds turn attentions to signing Barca’s Dembele

Liverpool FC have reportedly opened talks with Barcelona over acquiring forward Ousmane Dembele.

Football Insider reports that Jurgen Klopp’s side have begun preliminary talks with the Camp Nou club over a loan-to-buy deal for the 23-year-old French international.

It follows the Anfield club pulling out of trying to buy RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner, after Chelsea agreed to pay his £53m release clause.

Dembele was sidelined for six months in February after undergoing surgery on a serious hamstring tear.

Dembele joined Barca in the summer of 2017 from Borussia Dortmund.

United told price it would to take to prise Koulibaly away from Napoli

Manchester United have been told they must pay £90m if they wish to bring defender Kalidou Koulibaly to Old Trafford.

But the Italian club’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis has suggested the figure of 100 million Euros could tempt a sale of one of the club’s prized assets, such as Koulibaly.

The Daily Express reports he told Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport: “If City or United or PSG with €100million showed up, I would think about it and it is probable that they would leave, always if [the player's] will was to leave.

“I don’t even consider an offer of €60million (£55m), I am solid. If I wanted to win the Scudetto at any cost today I would find myself with three, four hundred million debts.”
