The Premier League campaign is in the books but such has been the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on football, the 2020/21 season is just around the corner.

That means a limited time for teams to improve their squad during the summer window and this has led to speculation aplenty.

This is the time of the year when the rumour mill goes into overdrive and the latest gossip round-up is further evidence of that.

Sancho 'respects' Dortmund decision

Jadon Sancho 'respects' Borussia Dortmund's stance amid Manchester United's transfer interest.

The Bundesliga side stated yesterday that he will not move, with their self-imposed August 10 deadline for a deal expiring.

While that was seen to be a negotiation tactic, Dortmund are adamant that's not the case and sporting director Michael Zorc has suggested Sancho will not angle for a move.

“Of course we have been in contact with [Sancho's] consultant recently, we have a very good relationship with each other," he told German publication Bild."But the club's decision is respected by both the agency and the player."

Everton make Allan 'offer'

Reports in Italy have claimed Everton have submitted a €30m offer for Napoli star Allan.

The midfielder has been linked heavily with a move to Goodison Park in recent months.

And journalist Ciro Venerato, cited by Sportwitness, has suggested the offer is €5m short of what the Italian outfit want for the Brazilian.

Chelsea eye Schmeichel deal

Chelsea could challenge Manchester United for Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel this summer, reports state.

The Blues are desperate to sign a new goalkeeper after Frank Lampard dropped Kepa Arrizabalaga for the second time this season for their crucial end-of-season fixtures.

Andre Onana, Nick Pope and Dean Henderson have all been linked with filling the void and now it's the turn of Schmeichel.

According to The Times, Blues boss Frank Lampard is targeting the Denmark international as he looks to solve his goalkeeping issues.
