Latest Premier League rumours as Leeds United handed Ryan Kent blow, West Brom move for striker

Spurs eye swap deal for Rodon

Tottenham may offer Swansea City the services of Cameron Carter-Vickers in exchange for Joe Rodon, according to reports cited by WalesOnline.

Spurs are eyeing a move for the Wales international ahead of the closure of the domestic transfer window on October 16 but Swansea value the 22-year-old at a hefty £18m, which the north London side may be put off by.

Instead of ending their interest, however, Spurs are said to be willing to offer Carter-Vickers, who was on loan with Luton Town last season, to the South Wales club.

Rangers set for Kent talks

Scottish giants Rangers are due to hold talks with Ryan Kent regarding a new deal after fending off Leeds United’s interest in the winger’s services during the summer transfer window, Football Insider states.

The Whites were keen on landing the former Liverpool forward but saw their advances rejected, with Kent making it clear he is still to remain north of the border for the time being.

Now, it’s reported Kent is set to be rewarded with a new deal with Steven Gerrard’s side that will provide an improvement to the £20k-a-week deal he penned last term.

Dembele never interested in United

Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele was never interested in a summer move to Manchester United and is already in discussions to move to Juventus next year, according to Catalunya Radio via the Mirror.

United were eyeing a move for the France international following their failure to land Jadon Sancho but were unable to successfully negotiate a Deadline Day deal - with it stated that the former Borussia Dortmund man was never keen on a move to Old Trafford.

Instead, Dembele is said to be targeting a move to Italy to rejuvenate his career but it’s unclear whether he will be able to secure a transfer next year or whether he will be forced to wait until his deal at the Nou Camp expires in 2022.

West Brom closing in on Grant

West Brom are closing in on the signature of Huddersfield Town forward Karlan Grant after reaching a compromise with the Championship club regarding the fees involved, the Mail reports.

The Terriers were initially holding out for a fee of £17m for the 23-year-old but it’s now stated there is confidence from all parties that an agreement can be reached regarding the structure of the deal.

West Brom are short on options in attacking following injury to Hal Robson-Kanu and are also eyeing a move for Bournemouth forward Joshua King.
