New images have been released showing progress on Neath's new swimming pool, gym and library.
Photographs from Neath Port Talbot Council show the latest stage in the construction of Neath's new leisure development, which is expected to open in Spring 2022.
Jamie Evans, Plaid Cymru councillor for Neath South, said he is "pretty pleased" with the progress on the site so far. He said residents have been waiting over a decade for a new leisure centre, which will hopefully attract more visitors to the town and boost the local economy.

"People who use the new swimming pool or gym will be able to pop into town on their way home so I think it's a good thing," he added. "I think it's high time that we actually had something in the town centre."
When complete, the two-storey 7,082 sqm development will include a swimming pool, 100 station gym, café, library and six commercial units. It is part of the council's plans to regenerate Neath town centre.
Councillors granted planning permission for the town centre to be redeveloped in 2013 and various applications were considered, such as plans for eight shops, but then replaced by the leisure centre.

Construction is underway on Water Street, on the site of the former multi-storey car park, Wilko, and Tesco Metro Stores, which have been demolished. The town's existing leisure centre and library will be moved to the new building.
As part of its plans to revamp Neath town centre, the council submitted a bid to Welsh Government in June for £5 million to build a piazza and create better public transport access.
