Latest on Tottenham vs Arsenal and whether North London Derby will go ahead

Arsenal players are being tested and assessed ahead of Sunday's North London Derby, with the club missing a host of first-team players for the match against Tottenham, football.london understands.

The Gunners have yet to make a formal request to postpone the match against Tottenham this weekend, with any request expected to be dependent on the outcome of the test results.

Mikel Arteta's side were missing nine players as they drew 0-0 with Liverpool in their Carabao Cup semi-final on Thursday night.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Thomas Partey, Nicolas Pepe and Mohamed Elneny are all at the Africa Cup of Nations, while Emile Smith Rowe (injury), Martin Odegaard (Covid) and Takehiro Tomiyasu are also missing.

football.london understands that Arsenal players and staff are being tested at their London Colney training base today.

Those results are expected back within the next 24 hours which will give a further indication over whether the club will make a formal request to postpone the game.

"I don't know," said Arteta when asked whether the match could be postponed.

"It's a possibility in any game from our side, from the opponents' side, because of the amount of issues that everybody is having and because it's happening every week, but we try to prepare for the games thinking that we're going to play.

"If something happens along the way, it is what it is."
