Transfer talk
Newcastle United will only entertain a permanent move for striker Dwight Gayle, according to reports.
Championship duo Nottingham Forest and West Brom are keen on the 29-year-old who has yet to start a Premier League game this term.
Bruce had earlier reiterated his desire to keep Gayle at St James’ Park beyond January, but the Telegraph say only a permanent deal will encourage the Toon boss to do business.
In the running
Nottingham Forest duo Matty Cash and Brice Samba have been nominated for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award for November.
Impressive performances from the pair were at the heart of a good month for the Reds which saw them pick up 10 points from a possible 15.
Cash has caught the eye in the unfamiliar role of right-back, making the position his own and becoming one of the first names on Sabri Lamouchi’s team-sheet.
And Samba has firmly established himself as Forest’s No.1, keeping three successive clean-sheets last month - against Derby County, Bristol City and QPR.

Catching the eye
Back in June, Sabri Lamouchi’s appointment at Nottingham Forest prompted a few quizzical looks, writes Sarah Clapson.
Little more than five months later, it is seemingly admiring glances which are being cast the Frenchman’s way.
That’s the flip side to an impressive start to the season at the City Ground.
Into the Lions' den
Millwall are having to cope with a number of “walking wounded” ahead of their clash with Nottingham Forest this week.
Sabri Lamouchi’s side will make the trip south on Friday looking to bounce back from Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at home to Cardiff City.
Meanwhile, their next opponents came away with a 1-1 draw away to Birmingham City at the weekend, having taken the lead through Shaun Williams.
Lions boss Gary Rowett, though, has a significant injury list to contend with as he prepares to host the Reds.
