Police have received more than 16,000 reports of people breaking the coronavirus lockdown in Bristol and surrounding areas.
Avon and Somerset police have handed out 260 fines to those ignoring the restrictions – 105 of them in Bristol – as of May 1.
A total of 16,451 breaches have been reported to the force.
Some 70 per cent of the fines have been issued to people breaking the restriction on movement.
A further 15 per cent went to people who took part in gatherings.
And 14 per cent were handed to those who have failed to comply with an instruction.
There has been one incident of someone "obstructing a person carrying out a function under regulations", police say.
And a penalty was also issued to a person who failed to comply with a prohibition notice.
The 16,451 reports of breaches means there has been a rise of 2,466 in just one week.
Earlier this month Chief constable Andy Marsh said: “We have an application that updates every 60 minutes and tells us where there are breaches.
“We’re deploying officers and PCSOs proactively to those hotspots to engage, encourage and explain, and on occasion take formal enforcement action against those that will not listen.

“I interpret that as the public saying we’re complying and we want everyone to comply.
“The public are policing themselves, by and large. I’ve been out across the force and seen remarkable levels of compliance."
The lockdown means people can leave home only to exercise once a day, travel to and from work when "absolutely necessary", shop for essential items and to meet medical needs.
