Leeds could be set for temperatures as high as 26C later this week as summer weather finally starts to make an appearance.
The Met Office is predicting that weather conditions should start to finally settle down from Wednesday after heavy downpours on Monday and Tuesday.
And by the weekend many areas could see temperatures topping 26C as an incoming band of high pressure settles across the UK.

Met Office spokeswoman Nicky Maxey told the Mirror this morning: "We've certainly got high pressure later this week, the temperatures rise into the low 20s and possibly the mid 20s by the end of the week and then you could see some places reaching mid to high 20s over the weekend."
However, she emphasised it depends on where the high pressure settles, adding, despite some reports: "We haven't forecast a heatwave."
Ms Maxey said the definition of a heatwave is "very specific" and means three consecutive days reaching a particular temperature - but each part of the country has a different threshold.

Referring to the all-important high pressure, she said: "At the moment, there's very little confidence on exactly where it's going to settle.
"If it settles north-east [of the UK] then we're not going to see those high temperatures and if it's to the west of us then we might see a warm weekend, but unlikely to reach heatwave criteria for the three consecutive days."
However, she said after some fairly heavy showers today, "conditions will be drier as we go through" the rest of the month and into August.
"There is rain around today. Tomorrow that becomes more showery and then Wednesday onwards we'll probably see some drier conditions."
Ms Maxey said there will likely be "clear sunny spells" as well as "invariable amounts of cloud around" as the weekend approaches, with temperatures in the second half of the week "in that low to mid 20s [range]...depending on where you are".
"Much more summer-like conditions," she added.
