Latest Leeds United transfer rumours: Whites linked with Foyth loan, Michal Karbownik latest

Leeds United do not have long to wait until they are in Championship action once again after an agonising wait for their supporters.

The Whites sit at the top of the second-tier and faced an anxious wait to find out whether they would carry on the campaign.

During that time, it seems like Leeds were confident it would resume at some point, as they have been preparing for life in the Premier League.

Here are the very latest Leeds transfer rumours.

Leeds could sign Spurs defender on loan

Leeds are leading the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Juan Foyth on loan this summer, according to journalist Nicolas Bozza.

Bozza took to Twitter to reveal the out-of-favour Spurs defender, who has played just twice under Jose Mourinho, will be a “reinforcement” for the Whites.

The Argentine journalist tweeted this (translated): “ATTENTION! The former footballer of EDLP Juan Foyth will be a reinforcement of Leeds United. The centre of the Argentina National Team will play in the Bielsa team. Spurs will loan him out for a season.”

Leeds may have to replace star defender Ben White, with the on-loan centre-half expected to return to Brighton & Hove Albion.

O’Kane set to remain at Luton

Leeds midfielder Eunan O’Kane is set to stay at Luton Town next season to see out the remainder of his loan deal, according to Football Insider.

O’Kane agreed an 18-month loan move to Luton in January, keeping him with the Hatters until the summer of 2021.

But with Nathan Jones’ sacking, the deal was thrown into doubt. However, Graeme Jones has been appointed and O’Kane is now set to stay at the club.

The 29-year-old was seemingly not part of Bielsa’s first-team plans before moving to their Championship rivals.

Napoli have talks for Leeds target

Leeds target Michal Karbownik has held talks with Italian club Napoli, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Legia Warsaw defender has “held discussions” with the Italian giants over a potential summer move.

Sport.pl recently reported that Bielsa held an interest in the full-back, but wouldn’t be able to afford him.

The Polish defender has played 22 games in the Ekstraklasa this season, assisting six goals in the process.
