Latest Leeds United transfer rumours: White to Chelsea, Batshuayi offer, £18m Watkins deal

Leeds United are now just five weeks away from welcoming Premier League football back to Elland Road for the first time in a generation.

Marcelo Bielsa's side will still be on cloud nine following their title-winning campaign in the Championship but with a quick turnaround ahead of the new campaign, they cannot rest on their laurels.

A significant amount of transfer business could take place ahead of the return to the top-flight and a host of names have been linked with a move to the club - including seemingly the entire population of Argentina.

Here, we have gathered some of the latest reports surrounding the Whites.

Chelsea threaten Ben White deal

Chelsea's interest in Lewis Dunk could derail any hope Leeds United had of signing Ben White on a permanent basis this summer, TeamTalk report.

The Blues are on the hunt for defensive reinforcements this summer and are reportedly keen on the Brighton captain after a good run of form in the Premier League.

Brighton are said to be willing to let Dunk leave if the price is right, which could create an opening for White to become a first-team regular with the Seagulls.

Marcelo Bielsa would love to sign White on a permanent basis following his excellent season on loan at Elland Road last term.

Palace lead Watkins chase

The Mirror report that Crystal Palace are leading the chase for Ollie Watkins amid Leeds United's own interest in signing the Brentford striker.

The Whites have been linked with the Brentford star, who is said to have an £18m buyout clause in his contract following Bees' failure to win promotion.

Palace were keen on Watkins last season and have now renewed their interest, meaning there is competition should Leeds wish to sign him.

Batshuayi offer

The Sun claim Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi has been offered to Leeds United in a cut-price deal, with the Blues looking to offload his services.

Belgian striker Batshuayi endured a poor season at Stamford Bridge and, with Frank Lampard keen to bring in a new striker, his future is very uncertain.

Marcelo Bielsa is looking to add to his attack this summer but it remains to be seen whether Batshuayi is viewed as a viable option by the Elland Road management.
