The transfer window is now officially open as Leeds United get themselves ready for the first season back in the big time.
The Whites will of course be playing Premier League football once again next season, having won the Championship title this season.
Marcelo Bielsa will now be looking to get his side prepared for their long-awaited return to the top flight, and no doubt there will be some new faces arriving over the coming weeks.
With that in mind, here are the latest transfer rumours and gossip coming from Elland Road.
Gonzalez battle
Leeds United are set for a real battle to sign Nicolas Gonzalez this summer.
Kicker in Germany reports that Leeds are keen to land the £18 million striker from Stuttgart in the upcoming transfer window.
But AC Milan, Inter Milan, Roma, Lazio, Atalanta and Napoli are all believed to be interested in signing Gonzalez this summer, meaning Leeds will have a fight on their hands.
Barkas to Celtic
Celtic are reportedly on the verge of signing Leeds United target Vasilios Barkas for £5million.
That is according to Herald Sport, who are reporting that the Greek international will sign a four-year deal with the Scottish champions today.
The report goes on to add that Barkas is travelling to Glasgow today and will put pen to paper if all goes well with his medical.
Cavani blow
Leeds United have suffered a blow in the pursuit of Edinson Cavani as he is set to sign for Benfica, Tojo Fichajes reports.
The Uruguay international is available on a free transfer following his exit from Paris Saint-Germain and has been touted with a move to Elland Road to boost Marcelo Bielsa’s side ahead of their return to the Premier League.
However, that seems to be off the cards as it’s stated the 33-year-old is poised to pen a two-year deal with Benfica.
