Latest Leeds United transfer rumours: Rodrigo de Paul message, Josko Gvardiol bid, Juan Foyth claim

It's now just a few more days until Leeds United kick a ball in the Premier League for the first time in a generation and it's fair to say excitement is building.

Marcelo Bielsa's side began their top-flight campaign with a baptism of fire against defending champions Liverpool at Anfield in the Saturday teatime slot.

A number of eye-catching additions have already been made by the Whites, notably the capture of Spain international Rodrigo, but business is far from done.

A host of players continue to be linked with a move to Elland Road, with Bielsa looking to bolster his options in the centre of the park, and below is the latest Leeds-related transfer rumours.

Premier League new season in numbers

De Paul bid message sent

Leeds United will need to make a second offer for Rodrigo de Paul if they are to sign him.

That is according to Massager Venete, who is reporting that Whites chief Andrea Radrizzani has been told to up his bid.

It is believed that Leeds have already had one offer turned down for De Paul, who is now being linked with a move to Leicester City.

Gvardiol deal close

The pathway to Leeds United signing Dinamo Zagreb centre-back Josko Gvardiol has been cleared.

That is because Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that RB Leipzig have now “stopped” their bid after Zagreb demanded £22.7m for the defender.

The Bundesliga side are believed to have made a bid of just £13.5m for the defender, while Leeds have reportedly offered £19.9m plus a clause that guarantees Zagreb 20% of any sell-on fee.

Foyth interest

Brighton and Leeds United hold an interest in out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur defender Juan Foyth, according to El Periodico.

Spurs do not want to sell the Argentina international permanently but a loan move could be completed before the window closes.

However, Leeds Live understands the player is not a priority for Marcelo Bielsa in the transfer market following the arrival of Robin Koch.
