Leeds United are still looking for the right players to improve their squad with less than a month left of the summer transfer window.
The Whites kicked off their Premier League campaign on Saturday, as they were narrowly beaten 4-3 by Liverpool at Anfield.
It was a promising start for Marcelo Bielsa’s men, but there are still areas of the squad that the club are looking to improve - if reports are to be believed.
With that being said, here are the latest transfer rumours on Leeds.
Zenit join De Paul race
Reported Leeds target Rodrigo De Paul is now a target for Russian club Zenit St. Petersburg, according to Football Italia.
The Whites have been heavily linked with a move for the Udinese midfielder this summer, and even had a bid rejected by the Italian side.
Now it seems like Zenit have entered the race to sign De Paul, and have reached out to discuss a possible move.
The report states that De Paul may not be too keen to move to England, and instead would rather stay in Italy.
Leeds duo likely to leave on loan
Young Leeds duo Jordan Stevens and Robbie Gotts are likely to join lower league sides in order to gain some first-team football experience.
That’s according to Alan Nixon on Twitter, who claims that Stevens is set to join League One Swindon Town over the coming days.
Nixon also states that Gotts is expected to join either Hull City or Huddersfield Town on a temporary deal.
First-team opportunities at Elland Road are unlikely at the moment for the pair, and the aim is to get them some senior experience in the lower leagues.
Gerrard makes Kent admission
Rangers boss Steven Gerrard believes Leeds will not be the only club keen on a move for his winger Ryan Kent.
Gerrard’s side have already rejected one bid from Leeds for the former Liverpool winger, and it appears that the Whites are still interested in the 23-year-old.
The Rangers manager told the Scotsman: “He hasn’t let any interest affect him. He’s used it as a compliment that people are enjoying what they’re seeing in terms of his form.
“He is going to get more interest, and we are going to get more interest and phone calls over Ryan Kent because he’s a fantastic player.”
