Latest Leeds United transfer rumours: PSG prediction, £18m striker target available

The Championship's final scheduled final day has come and gone, but still there is plenty of football to be played, although a solution to the campaign has not been decided.

The coronavirus pandemic continues to hold up play, leaving Leeds United tantalisingly close to the promised land but without a clear indication of what lies ahead.

But there's no stopping the transfer talk, and with that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest surrounding Leeds.

Danny Mills' PSG prediction

Former Leeds United defender Danny Mills believes that it will be difficult for the Qatari Sports Investment group to invest in the Whites - but believes that deals with PSG could be on the cards.

The PSG owners have long been linked with a move to invest in Leeds but, due to the coronavirus situation, such a move would be difficult.

“The Qatari group are very wealthy and Radrizzani knows the chairman very well and I think they have a personal relationship," he told Football Insider.

“If they get promoted I suspect they will get investment and there could be some loan players from PSG."

Habib Diallo set for transfer

Metz president Bernard Serin has confirmed that Habib Diallo, who has been linked with Leeds United, will leave the club in the next transfer window.

The forward was linked with a move to Elland Road six weeks ago, although the picture in the transfer market has certainly changed in the weeks since due to the coronavirus crisis.

Diallo, reportedly valued at a lofty price of £18m, is set to leave in the next transfer window though, with Serin opening the door to a departure when speaking to FranceBleu.

“He is 24-years-old, it is time for him to pursue his career elsewhere. Our objective is to sell Habib Diallo and leave more room in the attack for Ibrahima Niane.”

Leeds miss out on Sunderland youngster

Manchester United have beaten Leeds United to the signature of highly-rated Sunderland youngster Joe Hugill, our sister title the Manchester Evening News reports.

The 16-year-old has been linked with a host of clubs after catching the eye, with Arsenal, Tottenham, Wolves and Leeds said to have been interested.

Hugill, who does not turn 17-years-old until October, was also subject of interest from clubs in German but was not presented with any concrete offers.

Manchester United have won the chase for his services though, paying a fee of £300,000 to bring the teenager to Old Trafford.
