We’re now just days away from Leeds United’s first Premier League game in 16 years, as the Whites prepare to take on the league champions.
Liverpool is the destination for Marcelo Bielsa and his squad, as they prepare for life back in the top-flight after such a lengthy period out.
To prepare for the upcoming season, Bielsa and the Leeds hierarchy have been busy trying to get any additional players they can before the campaign begins.
With that being said, here are the very latest Leeds-related transfer rumours with just four days until the new season starts.
Watkins blow
Aston Villa are set to smash their transfer record to land Brentford striker Ollie Watkins.
The 24-year-old, who has been linked with a switch to Leeds United this summer, is, according to the BBC, now set for Villa Park.
The BBC suggests the deal will also include £5million in add ons which will take the total to £33million and Villa are hoping to wrap it up quickly now.
Wilson valuation
Liverpool are holding out for £20m for the in-demand Harry Wilson.
That is according to Dave Anderson of the Mirror, who is reporting that Leeds are long-term admirers, while Aston Villa are leading the chase.
But no mooted bids have met Liverpool’s valuation, according to the report.
Palhinha interest
Leeds United have reportedly joined the race to sign Joao Palhinha.
That is according to Portuguese outlet O Jogo, who are reporting that the Whites have joined the race to sign the 25-year-old midfielder this summer.
But the report goes on to add that Leeds could face strong competition from Premier League rivals Wolves.
