Latest Leeds United transfer rumours: Larin bid, Bristol City enter Rose race, White prediction

Leeds United's Championship return is almost upon us.

Marcelo Bielsa and his men head to South Wales on Sunday for their first game in more than three months as they continue their promotion bid against Cardiff City,

But as preparations continue for that game, Marcelo Bielsa will know the importance of preparing for next season, when Leeds are hoping to be back in the promised land.

Leeds continue to be linked with a number of players and with that in mind, we run you through the latest rumours surrounding Elland Road below.

Championship season so far

Larin bid set to be made

Leeds United are reportedly set to make an offer in the region of £2.2million for Besiktas forward Cyle Larin.

That is according to a report from Askam - via Sports Witness - who claim the Whites are keen to strike a deal with the Turkish giants and are ‘big fans’ of the player.

Larin has spent this season on loan at Zulte Waregem, where he has scored nine goals and claimed 11 assists in 33 appearances.

City enter Rose race

Bristol City are set to rival Leeds United for the signature of Coventry City centre-back Michael Rose, according to a report.

The Scottish defender joined Coventry from Ayr United this season and has gone on to make 31 appearances for the Sky Blues as Mark Robins’ side won the League One title.

And now Football Insider are reporting that a recruitment source has informed them that City are also interested in signing Rose this summer.

Mills confident Leeds can land White

Former Leeds United defender Danny Mills believes the club can see off Premier League interest to seal a permanent deal for loan star Ben White.

Liverpool, Manchester United and Leicester City have been linked with a summer move for the 22-year old, but Mills told Football Insider Leeds are in a strong position.

“Leeds will have some doubts when it comes to keeping hold of Ben White,” the now TV and radio pundit said.

“But there is a possible situation where Leeds go up, and Brighton go down. But if Brighton stay up, they may want to keep him.

“I would not be surprised if a top four or top six club come in for him. He could be good enough for that. It would not be a risk for a big club, as he has been exceptional this season.

“Leeds are in the box seat because the player likes the club, but they will be wary of a big big club coming in for him.”
