Here are your Leeds United transfer rumours for Monday, May 18.
Daniel Batty available on free transfer
Hull City midfielder Daniel Batty will be available on a free transfer this summer.
The 22-year-old has made 58 appearances over the past two seasons, becoming a key part of Grant McCann’s side, but with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, a number of Championship clubs could come calling.
In the current climate, adding young, improving players who have vast experience of the Championship on free transfers is invaluable. Batty would provide Leeds with the exact type of target they require in these financially pressured times.
Leeds United will be looking to bolster their squad, especially if they secure promotion to the Premier League. After an excellent year for Hull, Batty represents an economically friendly option.
Berardi wants to stay
Leeds United defender, Gaetano Berardi, wants to commit to a long-term contract with the club amid growing uncertainty regarding his future.
Per Football Insider, a Leeds source revealed that Berardi wants to finish his career at Elland Rd and is especially eager to play in the Premier League, should the club earn promotion from the Championship this season.
Berardi, 31, is free to leave Leeds on July 1st at the expiration of his current contract. Berardi, though, wants to stay.

Given he turns in August, there is some uncertainty as to whether Leeds will offer the third-choice centre-back a new deal. He has only made 11 league starts this season.
Leeds, though, have been willing to keep key players well into their thirties.
Stuart Dallas is tied down until he is 32, Liam Cooper signed a new deal that keeps him at the club until he is 33, while star midfielder Pablo Hernandez could stay at Elland Rd until he is 37 if he sees out his current contract.
That offers hope for Berardi.
Striker deals fall through
According to Asist Analiz journalist Safak Malatya via Sport Witness, Leeds United’s deal for Besiktas centre-forward, Cyle Larin, has fallen through amid complications due to COVID-19.
Larin is currently on loan with Belgian team, Zulte Waregem.
Malatya reports that Zulte Waregem had planned to exercise the option to buy clause in the loan agreement with Besiktas before then selling Larin on to Leeds.
However, Zulte Waregem pulled out of the deal due to financial issues caused by the Belgian season finishing early. As a result, Larin will return to Besiktas and the deal with Leeds is off.
The Canadian international had been in good form this season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 29 league matches.
If Leeds want to secure the 25-year-old’s services, however, they must now negotiate with Besiktas directly.
