Latest Leeds United transfer rumours: Harrison future, Adarabioyo linked

Leeds United returned to the summit of the Championship after beating Huddersfield Town on Saturday, now sitting one point ahead of Leeds United and seven clear of Fulham.

With nine games to go, the push for promotion to the Premier League is well and truly on, with Leeds having their own fate in their hands as they push to return to the big time.

Lessons have been learnt from last season and, whatever the outcome at the end of the campaign, plans will be in motion for potential new arrivals at Elland Road.

As such, plenty of speculation has orientated around the new Championship leaders and we have gathered some of the latest snippets below.

Harrison permanent deal

Marcelo Bielsa wants to make Jack Harrison his first permanent signing this summer if Leeds United achieve promotion to the Premier League, Football Insider reports.

The 23-year-old winger has been a mainstay in the Argentine boss' squad during his two seasons on loan from Manchester City and Bielsa wants to add him to his squad permanently.

Leeds have the opportunity to sign Harrison at the end of the season if they achieve promotion due to a clause in their agreement with City, with the stipulated fee set at just below £10m.

The former England U21 international is tied down with Man City until 2022 and looks unlikely to have a future in Pep Guardiola's squad at the Etihad Stadium.

Tosin Adarabioyo targeted

From one Manchester City loanee to another, 90Min report that Leeds United are among the clubs keen to sign defender Tosin Adarabioyo at the end of the season.

Adarabioyo spent last season on loan with West Brom and has been a key-part of the Blackburn Rovers side competing in the Championship this term.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, with it stated that Everton, Wolves, Leicester, Southampton, Newcastle and Burnley all keen, with Everton said to be leading the race.

It's stated that City will sell if their £20m asking price is met and a sale is likely as he has entered the final 18 months of his contract with he Premier League giants.

Ben White's role

Marcelo Bielsa has spoken about Ben White's role in the Leeds United squad following the victory over Huddersfield Town at Elland Road on Saturday.

The on-loan Brighton defender has been utilised as a midfielder recently, including during a period of the Whites' win over their Yorkshire rivals, and Bielsa has discussed the approach.

"If he plays 10 or 15 matches in this position he will have impact in the same way he does at centre-back. For one centre-back it is a very good opportunity to play as a possession midfielder, and it is necessary," he told Leeds Live.

"For one positional midfielder it is necessary to play as a centre-back. These positions are close to each other and one player can play in both during the play."
