It’s transfer deadline day, and for Leeds United, it’s their last chance to bring in any new players from overseas.
Marcelo Bielsa and the club’s board have endured a very busy summer transfer window, which will conclude at 11pm this evening.
Seven new players have arrived through the door at Elland Road, as they look to consolidate their place in the Premier League - and they have definitely started really well.
Here are the latest Leeds transfer rumours.
Leeds eye late Kondogbia move
Leeds are one of a host of clubs interested in signing Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, according to Movistar journalist Cristina Bea ( via MOT Leeds News ).
The Whites, as well as Fulham, Southampton, RB Leipzig and Hertha Berlin are all keen on the Frenchman.
Bielsa’s side are willing to pay Kondogbia’s £13.5m transfer fee, as well as his £60,000-a-week wage demands.
It’s been well documented that Leeds are chasing a central midfielder before the window closes.
Interest in Reading midfielder
Leeds had looked at signing Reading midfielder Ovie Ejaria, according to The Athletic.
Ejaria only joined the Royals on a permanent deal this summer, after signing from Liverpool, following a successful loan spell last season.
The 22-year-old had initially been looked at by the Whites, but any deal for the central midfielder is very unlikely to be before the 11pm deadline this evening.
However, he is on Leeds’ radar and a move in the future could happen.
Raphinha agrees personal terms with Leeds
Leeds have agreed personal terms with Rennes winger Raphinha, according to SportItalia journalist Gianluigi Longari.
The journalist has claimed that the Whites have agreed a £15.4m (£5.4m in add-ons) fee with the French club.
As well as this, it appears the Brazilian and Leeds have now agreed personal terms.
The 23-year-old Raphinha has played six times in Ligue 1 this season for Rennes, scoring the one goal, whilst providing two assists.
