Latest Leeds United transfer rumours: Ben White to stay, £12m striker on Marcelo Bielsa's radar

Leeds United look set to get the chance to seal their long-awaited promotion to the Premier League this summer.

Despite the EFL’s ongoing discussions as to how the 2019/20 season will be concluded, it’s expected that the Championship will resume soon.

That means Leeds can continue their push for promotion to the top tier, where Marcelo Bielsa will look to strengthen his ranks with some new additions.

Here are the latest transfer rumours and gossip coming out of Elland Roa d.

Leeds set to keep hold of Ben White

Ben White is set to stay with Leeds for another two months with the imminent return of Championship football all but confirmed.

The on-loan Brighton defender has been an ever-present this season but with his deal set to expire this month, his participation in the final nine Championship matches of the campaign looked in doubt.

However, The Telegraph report the Seagulls will allow White to stay at Elland Road for the remainder of the season when football is given the green light to restart.

Leeds currently sit on top of the table, a point clear of second place West Bromwich Albion and seven clear of Fulham in third.

The EFL have set a provisional date for the Championship to resume on June 20.

£12 million Argentine striker on Bielsa’s radar

Marcello Bielsa has earmarked fellow Argentine Aldofo Gaich as the man to lead the line for Leeds going forward.

Gaich, 21, has a £12 million release clause according to Football Insider, with Whites poised to make an approach for the San Lorenzo striker if or when Premier League promotion is confirmed.

Leeds will also face competition from fellow promotion hopefuls West Brom, and the player himself reportedly would prefer a move to Italy.

However, Bielsa will be hoping the Argentina connection will persuade Gaich to move to Elland Road.

Leeds look to snap up PSG defender on a free

Leeds are reportedly said to be keen on the signature of French defender Thierno Balde.

The 17-year-old is due to become a free agent this summer when his contract at Paris Saint Germain expires according to L’Equipe via HITC.

The French champions have offered Balde a new deal but having yet to break into the first team at PSG, a move to England could be on the cards as the player looks to kick start his career.

Leeds could face competition from Southampton however, with the Saints also monitoring Balde’s situation.
