Latest Leeds United transfer rumours: £15m Chambers deal, loan move confirmed, Olise interest

Leeds United now have two weeks left of this summer’s transfer window as they look to strengthen their squad to prepare for their first season back in the Premier League.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have picked up three points from two games so far - beating Fulham 4-3 on Saturday after losing by the same scoreline at Anfield last weekend.

The Whites have seen six new faces come to Elland Road so far this window and if rumours are to be believed, then they are nowhere near done.

Here, we have gathered the latest transfer rumours coming out of the Yorkshire-based club.

Leeds keen on Arsenal defender

Leeds are interested in signing Arsenal defender Calum Chambers, according to Nicolo Schira, along with Newcastle United and West Ham United.

The 25-year-old is out-of-favour at the Gunners, and with first-team football at the Emirates Stadium unlikely this season, he could look for a move away.

Mikel Arteta’s side are willing to allow Chambers to leave the club for a fee of £15m.

The Whites are reportedly after a centre-back after missing out on a permanent deal for Brighton & Hove Albion star Ben White.

Whites hold interest in Reading teenager

Leeds are monitoring Reading starlet Michael Olise, but could face plenty of competition if it turns into concrete interest, according to Football League World.

The 18-year-old is reportedly attracting interest from over 10 clubs - and the ones that have been named are Leeds, Wolves and Arsenal.

Olise enjoyed a fantastic breakthrough season with the Royals during the 2019-20 campaign and is now on plenty of radars.

The report claims that, at this stage, Leeds are simply keeping an eye on Olise, and no bid is imminent for the teenager.

Stevens completes Swindon loan move

Leeds’ Jordan Stevens has joined Swindon Town on a season-long loan deal, the League One club has confirmed.

The 20-year-old joined the Whites in February 2018 - making five appearances under Bielsa - but has moved in order to secure more first-team football.

Stevens said: “I’m more than happy that the deal is finally done. I’m looking forward to getting to meet the lads and see where League One gets us.

“Swindon are a great club that have just been promoted, the club is close to family which is great.”
