Latest Leeds United transfer news: Torino make Ivan Poveda offer, Emre Mor interest confirmed

There are only 11 days left of the January transfer window as Leeds United look to secure a new striker.

Saturday's 1-0 to Queens Park Rangers, leaving them with one win in seven Championship matches, further intensified the pressure on the Whites' hierarchy to sort a replacement for the recalled Eddie Nketiah .

Interest in Che Adams remains live but with that deal neither moving nor dead in the water, United are still looking at alternative options.

Elsewhere, a deal for Manchester City winger Ian Poveda remains in the balance, although goalkeeper Elia Caprile look like a done deal.

Here, we round-up the day's latest Leeds United transfer rumours.

Mor interest

Celta Vigo sporting director Felipe Minambres has admitted that several Championship clubs have enquired about the services of Emre Mor.

Leeds United, West Brom and Brentford have all been linked with a move for the Turkish midfielder, who is on loan at Galatasaray.

The 22-year-old is out of favour at the Spanish club and struggling in Turkey and could cut his loan short to move to England.

“There are interested English Championship teams that have come to ask (about him),” Minambres told  El Desmarque .

Poveda latest

Serie A outfit Torino have seen an offer for Poveda rejected by Manchester City.

The Italian club are thought to be competing with Leeds United to sign the winger this month.

However, the latest reports from Italian outlet  TuttoMercatoWeb  claims their first proposal has been turned down by Pep Guardiola's side, which is good news for the Whites.

Leeds are hopeful of finalising a deal for the 19-year-old before the month is out.

Leeds 'confident' of striker deal

Leeds United remain confident they will sign a striker before the January transfer window closes.

Victor Orta is the main man leading the Whites' search for another goal threat as they seek cover for Patrick Bamford.

Football Insider  report that despite a lack of success thus far in the window, Leeds' hierarchy remain confident they will add a striker to their squad.

The report claims Orta is “hammering the phone” trying to negotiate the arrival of a striker who will fit Marcelo Bielsa’s playing style.
