Latest Leeds United FIFA 21 update released with six players upgraded but Elland Road not added

Despite suffering a home defeat against Leicester City last time out, Leeds United are still having an impressive start to their 2020/21 Premier League campaign.

United travel to Crystal Palace at the weekend, with Marcelo Bielsa's side hoping to produce a similar away performance to their recent victory against Aston Villa, with the Whites winning 3-0.

Ahead of the weekend however, EA have unveiled another player database update for FIFA 21, which has had a huge impact on the virtual Leeds squad, with six players given upgrades and three players given downgrades.

In addition to the player database update, EA released a huge title update for FIFA 21 earlier this week named Title Update 4. The big update included wide range of major changes to both gameplay and specific modes, including referees, tackling, skill moves, kick-off, audio, visual, FUT, Career Mode, Pro Clubs and more.

But, Leeds fans will note that Elland Road is still missing from the game, even after the latest update, with EA Sports previously confirming that the iconic stadium wouldn't be available in FIFA 21 at the game's worldwide launch date (October 9, 2020).

Leeds Live approached EA Sports for comment, but they have yet to confirm when Elland Road could be added to FIFA 21.

Here is a summary of the upgrades given to the Leeds United squad, in the latest FIFA 21 database update available as of November 5 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Luke Ayling - Downgraded

It's a strange downgrade for Ayling, with the full-back's agility being downgraded from 71 to 64.

Liam Cooper - Upgraded

Cooper has been given a big upgrade, with the defender's marking (71-73) and standing tackle (73-75) being increased.

This has resulted in an overall rating upgrade too, with Cooper now rated as 74 out of 100, up from 73.

Kalvin Phillips - Upgraded

Phillips has had his interceptions (73-75), marking (73-75) and standing tackle (77-78) upgraded on FIFA 21.

Patrick Bamford - Upgraded

Bamford's strong form in front of goal in recent weeks has seen him rewarded with a big attribute upgrade on FIFA 21.

Bamford's finishing (72-74), volleys (64-65), ball control (74-75), acceleration (70-72), reactions (69-70), shot power (73-74), stamina (82-83), strength (72-73), long shots (63-65), aggression (60-62), positioning (60-62), penalties (71-72), composure (70-72) and defensive awareness (34-36) has been increased.

This has also led to an overall rating upgrade, with Bamford's overall rating upgraded from 72 to 73, with his potential also being increased from 73 to 74.

Ian Poveda - Upgraded

The Spanish youngster's acceleration (81-83) and sprint speed (77-79) has been upgraded, along with his overall rating and potential.

Poveda's overall rating has gone up from 64 to 65, his potential has also gone up from 78 to 79.

Pascal Struijk - Downgraded

The Dutchman's potential has been slightly decreased, dropping from 78 to 77.

Leif Davis - Upgraded

Davis' acceleration (83-84) and sprint speed (81-82) has been upgraded.

Jay-Roy Grot - Downgraded

The forward's short passing (64-65), long passing (62-59), reactions (62-60), positioning (60-59), vision (58-56) and composure (57-55) has all been reduced, but his dribbling (65-66) and heading accuracy (57-59) has been increased.

Sam Greenwood - Downgraded

Greenwood has had a big upgrade, with his weak foot being increased from three-star to four-star, meaning his weaker left foot is almost as good as his strong right foot.

What do you make of the latest FIFA 21 database update for Leeds United?

FIFA 21 is out now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, with the next generation version of the game set to be released on December 4, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

EA SPORTS say that these next generation games will feature blazing fast load times, the most realistic, fluid player movement ever in EA SPORTS titles, authentic game day experiences inside stadiums and new player detail unlocked by deferred rendering and lighting.
