Latest images of plans for 282 homes in Stretford complete with sky garden

New images of apartments being built in Stretford have been released – and there’s set to be a sky garden on site.

Some 282 homes – a mixture of 191 apartments and 91 houses – are being built by Miller Homes on Talbot Road on the former Itron gas meter factory site

There will be 48 one-bedroom apartments; 143 two-bedroom apartments; four two-bedroom houses; 66 three-bedroom houses; and 21 four-bedroom homes built there after Trafford Council granted the developers planning permission back in 2019.

The Talbot Road plot has been vacant since the former Itron gas meter factory shut in 2016.

The development, known as Novus, has been under construction for some time and features homes for private sale only with no affordable housing options on site.

Now, the latest images of the homes shows designs for the communal areas that residents will be able to access.

After launching sales last year, a mixture of one and two-bedroom apartments are now available to buy- with prices starting from £165,500 and home owners will be able to start moving into their new homes from 2022.

The developers have now announced that all apartments within the Stello House and Libertas House parts of the development will get access to a private sky garden, where there will be pergolas with space to eat, drink and socialise, as well as benches, and gardening areas, including plants and flowers.

With good access into Manchester city centre, Novus is within walking distance of both Media City and the Metrolink and aims to support the regeneration of Stretford.

There are set to be a variety of apartment sizes available for private purchase to buy on the site, including two bedroom, two bathroom homes priced from £235,000.

These include a parking space, flooring, a fitted wardrobe in the principal bedroom, downlighters throughout and an equipped kitchen with integrated appliances.

The government-backed Help To Buy scheme is being accepted for apartments on the site up to the value of £224,400, where first time buyers will need a five per cent deposit to buy a flat.

The sales centre and show home is now open seven days a week, 10:30am until 5:30pm, on Renton Road, Stretford. Appointments can be booked online.
