Travel agents and tour operators predict a stampede of bookings once countries placed on the 'green' list of destinations is confirmed.
Selected European destinations are likely to be placed in the green category with the fewest test requirements and holidaymakers are poised to snap up any bargains.
Emma Coulthurst, of TravelSupermarket, said: "There are some really good prices at the moment if people decide to go ahead and book now.
"Once the green list is announced, there will be an anticipated increase in demand for those destinations on the list and prices are likely to go up as demand goes up.
"Some people may be booking now and taking the chance if they are happy with the terms and conditions which will allow them to change their destination if it isn’t on the green list."
