Latest GTA 6 leak shows franchise is sticking with its iconic satire, despite fears of the game going ‘PG’

The wait for Grand Theft Auto 6 wears on through the seasons, seemingly never-ending as the whole industry waits for what could be the biggest release of all time. Every once in a while, a crumb of hype emerges.

This latest crumb comes from dataminer Tez2 on GTAForums, who may have stumbled upon some very funny and interesting developments regarding the world-building in GTA 6. And it's very on-brand for the franchise and Rockstar both.

Tez2 said they discovered some website domain names that were registered a few months ago "under Take-Two's nameservers that seem to be [GTA 6]-related." And they seem like they would fit right in to what we know and love about GTA, and may quell some fears that certain gamers have about the game being "woke" or rated PG in comparison to past titles.

The website domain names include titles such as what-up.app, rydeme.app, buckme.app, leonidagov.org, hookers-galore.com, wipeoutcornskin.com, and myboyhasacreepycorndog.com. Gamers already deciphered that what-up.app is likely a play on WhatsApp, rydeme.app lampoons rideshare apps like Uber or Lyft, and then hookers-galore.com is, well, a website to find prostitutes.

"These domains could be in-game sites that Rockstar may redirect to VI's page later on, like what we've seen with IV and V," they said. "Or some could be completely unrelated instead."

GTA has always had funnily-named businesses and such to parody real world counterparts, like Sprunk (Sprite), Lampadati (Lamborghini), Life Invader (Facebook) or Bleeter (Twitter), so this goes to show that hopefully the game will retain its trademark humor in lieu of watering things down in fear of "cancelation" or judgment.

Honestly, I'm just hoping we get another glimpse of GTA 6 before 2025 comes to an end. The wait until its current launch day of May 26, 2026 may become a bit more tolerable if we get to see another trailer or some gameplay before the calendar flips.
