Latest DJI Mini 5 Pro leaks predict price and release date – and if accurate, drone fans should be very pleased with both

DJI Mini 4 Pro folded away and next to the R2 Remote Controller, on a rock.
  • Serial leaker claims to know European pricing for DJI Mini 5 Pro
  • Claims Fly More Combo will include ND filter set
  • US launch seems unlikely for yet another DJI product

It’s been less than a week since our last news story about the rumored DJI Mini 5 Pro, but the steady stream of leaked information about and images of DJI’s next ultralight drone means that it’s time for yet another update.

This time, the leaked info concerns the pricing and release date of the drone. As always with such things, we urge you to take the information with a pinch of salt as, until DJI itself officially launches the Mini 5 Pro, all of this remains speculation.

That being said, when the information comes from trusted and prolific leakers that rarely get things wrong, we do sit up and take notice. One such leaker is Jasper Ellens, writing at DroneXL, and this week he published a story claiming “trustworthy sources” had promised him DJI would be launching the Mini 5 Pro on September 16 2025. Yes, next week.

He goes on to mention that other sources (leaked retail websites, mined for evidence) suggest in-store availability on September 17, and says that one listing for the Mini 5 Pro, supplied only with a screenless RC-N3 remote controller, had a price of €799 (around $935 / £690 / AU$1,415).

Ellens also believes that the DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo will feature an RC2 touchscreen controller and ND filter set (alongside the usual three batteries, charging cradle and carrying bag), and start at €1129 (around $1,320 / £975 / AU$2,000).

That seems like a pretty affordable price for a drone with the rumored features of the Mini 5 Pro, like a 1-inch sensor and full omnidirectional obstacle avoidance, plus front-facing LiDAR.

Bad news for US drone pilots?

Unfortunately for US-based drone fans, Ellens also believes that the DJI Mini 5 Pro won’t be officially available in the States. Given that DJI hasn’t launched any of its recent products there, this is one rumor we’d definitely say seems likely – although the company has always maintained that it’s currently looking for viable ways to launch its drones, action cameras and more in the US.

If Ellens’ information is accurate, and the Mini 5 Pro is launching next week, we’ll probably see a teaser trailed on the company’s official social media channels imminently. These things typically happen a few days ahead of a DJI product’s launch, so if something get posted in the coming days, we’ll know a new drone is coming in to land very soon.

We've posted the rumored specifications for the DJI Mini 5 Pro below.

  • DJI Mini 5 Pro rumored specs
  • 1-inch image sensor supporting up to 4K 120fps video
  • 24mm lens with f/1.8 aperture
  • 48mm medium telephoto shooting mode
  • Gimbal supporting 225º movement, including vertical shooting
  • Forward-facing LiDAR and omnidirectional infrared vision sensors
  • 36-minute battery life
