Latest deal for Slick Stitch with schoolwear firm buyout

A Black Country fulfilment business has expanded with another acquisition.

Wolverhampton-based Slick Stitch has bought online clothing distributor Andrew Hyde Schoolwear in an undisclosed deal.

The company supplies hundreds of schools across the UK with uniforms and sports clothing.

It is the third acquisition this year for Slick Stitch which offers clients in the retail sector services such as warehousing and consumer logistics.

It recently Dollymix Boutique, a company specialising in personalising children's wear, and Molly & Monty which designs and manufactures luxury children's clothes and gifts in the UK.

Slick Stitch chief executive Inder Jain said: "We are delighted to have acquired Andrew Hyde Schoolwear and complete our third acquisition in eight months.

"The business augments our existing school uniform business and e-commerce offering.

"We have exciting plans to grow the business and are also looking at other opportunities."

Law firm Browne Jacobson advised Slick Stitch on the deal.

Corporate finance partner Michael Stace added: "It was a pleasure to help Slick Stitch secure yet another acquisition to add to its e-commerce business.

"We were particularly pleased to achieve completion in a very short space of time and in time for the busiest period of the year ahead of the return to school."
