Latest coronavirus data shows cases rise again in six areas of Nottinghamshire

There have been 19 further cases of coronavirus recorded in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire in the past 24 hours, according to government figures.

The data, released today (August 30), shows the UK-wide death toll is now 41,499 and 334,467 people have now tested positive for Covid-19.

It represents an increase of one and 1,715 respectively over the same time period.

In Nottingham, 10 new infections were recorded - bringing its total up to 1,350.

 

In the wider county, there have now been 3,381 positive tests confirmed since the start of the pandemic.

This is an increase of nine since yesterday, with Newark and Sherwood recording the highest number of new cases (three) in the last 24 hours.

However, there were no new cases reported in either Broxtowe or Mansfield.

This is the current breakdown of confirmed infections for each part of Nottinghamshire:

  • Nottingham 1,350 (increase of 10)
  • Ashfield - 602 (increase of one)
  • Bassetlaw - 655 (increase of one)
  • Broxtowe - 466 (no change)
  • Gedling - 411 (increase of two)
  • Mansfield - 372 (no change)
  • Newark and Sherwood - 453 (increase of three)
  • Rushcliffe - 422 (increase of two)

Today (August 30), all passengers on a flight to Wales from the Greek island of Zante have been told to self-isolate after some of travelling tested positive for Covid-19.

At least seven positive cases have been identified among three different parties on the Tui flight 6215 to Cardiff on August 25, according to Public Health Wales.

Health officials said all passengers on board the flight are now being considered close contacts and must self-isolate.
